Reap the Rewards

Standard

This year we upgraded our two pot garden to 4 large containers.  The kids carefully planted cucumbers, yellow pear tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, beef steak tomatoes, green peppers, and jalapenos.  The jalapenos are long gone.  Those were enjoyed stuffed with laughing cow cheese, wrapped in turkey bacon, and finished on the grill.  Delish!

Today, I got to savor the season’s first ripe cherry tomato.  Sweet and juicy, I wanted to enjoy them all.  Instead, tomorrow we will dine on pan roasted cherry tomatoes and pasta.

I love this time of year and reaping the rewards of dirt under the nails and a higher water bill.  YUM!

What’s in your garden?
